Ask Your CRM: Better Sales Questions for AI Workspace

Ask focused questions about leads, follow-ups, and sales performance in Convertly AI Workspace, then use the supporting records to decide what to do next.

You should not need a new dashboard every time a sales question comes up. Sometimes you want to know which leads need attention, what changed in a conversation, or how won value differs between sources.

Convertly AI helps you explore permitted CRM records in plain language. The strongest questions have a clear scope and lead to a decision you can verify. Here are three ways to make that part of your working day.

Find the work that needs attention

Start with a question such as: “Which of my assigned leads have overdue follow-ups?” That gives the AI a specific record group and a specific kind of work to examine.

Read the answer alongside the underlying follow-ups. Check whether an item is still open, whether the owner is correct, and whether the customer has responded since the note was written.

Then take the next action through the normal CRM controls. AI Workspace is read-only: asking about overdue work does not complete tasks, assign leads, or send messages.

Prepare for a conversation

Lead summaries serve a different purpose from a workspace-wide question. A generated summary can bring together recent activity, current context, risks, and a suggested next step for one lead.

Use it before a callback to orient yourself, then check important details against the record. For example, distinguish a customer who asked for pricing from one who accepted it. A short summary should help you find that distinction, not erase it.

Summaries are generated on request and can be regenerated. If meaningful activity has happened since the last result, review the latest records rather than assuming an older summary already includes it.

Ask about performance with a defined period

“How are we doing?” leaves too much unspecified. Try “Compare won value by source for the last 30 days” instead.

Be clear about what the measure means. Won value is not necessarily collected revenue, and recorded first-response activity is not proof of the first conversation that happened outside the CRM. Keep the same period and scope when comparing answers with reports.

If a result looks surprising, inspect a sample of the leads behind it. Missing values, inconsistent stages, and incomplete history may explain more than the headline number.

Read the reason behind a lead score

AI scores offer prioritization assistance with rationale and confidence. The explanation matters more than a number viewed in isolation.

A lead may show interest while still missing an important qualification detail. Use the rationale to decide what to ask next, rather than treating the score as an automatic decision or a promise of conversion. The lead prioritization article explores this workflow in more detail.

Keep the scope of AI clear

Availability depends on workspace configuration, permissions, feature access, and usage allowance. AI does not expand the records a user can view. Review your organization’s privacy settings before submitting customer context, and never paste passwords or API keys into a question.

Choose one recurring question to start with, inspect its supporting records, and turn the answer into a deliberate action. Read the AI Workspace guide for setup, summaries, scores, and access controls.
