Android Call Tracking: A Better Daily Callback Review
Use Convertly's Android call history to review missed activity, add conversation context, and plan callbacks without treating call volume as sales progress.
Call tracking is most useful when it changes what your team does after a call. A record of activity can help you find missed conversations, but it cannot tell you what a customer promised or whether a deal is ready to close.
With Convertly’s Android companion, eligible cellular activity from an enrolled phone’s selected work SIM can appear in the CRM. Use that history as the starting point for a callback review, not as a standalone scorecard.
Check the work phone before reviewing the work
An Admin pairs the intended user through Integrations → Android phones. Enrollment, work-SIM selection, and the required permissions happen in the Android app’s call-tracking settings.
Once the connection is tested, make a habit of checking that tracking is still enabled. A device can be enrolled while a permission change, network problem, or background restriction delays new activity.
This capture path is for eligible cellular calls on the selected SIM. It is separate from WhatsApp messaging and does not capture WhatsApp calls as ordinary work-SIM calls.
Review missed activity in context
Open Calls, choose the relevant date and device filters, and inspect missed or unanswered activity. Where a lead is linked, read its recent notes and follow-ups before deciding what to do.
Consider a fictional example: a customer misses your morning call but replies on WhatsApp an hour later asking for an afternoon callback. The call record alone suggests an unresolved attempt; the conversation explains the next step. Review both before calling again.
Do not assume every visible status means the same thing across devices and providers. Confirm what happened where the record is ambiguous.
Turn the review into an owned callback
For a lead that needs another conversation, schedule a follow-up with:
- The responsible teammate.
- A due date and time in the workspace timezone.
- A note describing the reason for the callback.
After the callback, record its outcome and complete or reschedule the follow-up deliberately. A synchronized call does not automatically explain the conversation or fulfill every related task.
Separate missing data from missed work
If an expected call is absent, check the selected work SIM, permissions, connectivity, and filters before concluding that someone did not make it. Eligible metadata may be queued while offline and synchronized later.
Call recordings are a separate consideration. Do not assume an audio file exists because a call-history entry does. Recording availability depends on supported device or provider behavior.
Review outcomes, not only call counts
A useful end-of-day review asks whether promised callbacks happened, whether notes make the next step clear, and whether unresolved leads have an owner. More calls alone do not prove better conversations.
Use the Android setup guide to verify enrollment, and the missed-call workflow article when you are ready to make a narrow, tested follow-up process repeatable.
