Work With Leads
A lead is the central sales record in Convertly. It represents a prospect or active opportunity throughout the pipeline.
Find the right records
Section titled “Find the right records”Open Leads to search and filter the organization pipeline. Available filters include combinations of date range, stage, source, owner, category, and other lead fields.
Admin, Manager, and Sales users work with organization-wide lead visibility. Staff users see an assignment-focused set of records.
Information on a lead
Section titled “Information on a lead”A lead can include:
- Name, email, and phone
- Stage, source, owner, value, and categories
- Campaign and capture context
- Notes and timeline events
- Tasks and follow-ups
- Custom fields
- AI summary and score results
The advertising attribution section is available only to Admin and Manager roles.
Create a lead manually
Section titled “Create a lead manually”- Open Leads and select New Lead.
- Enter the available contact details.
- Select an approved lead source rather than typing a new variation.
- Set stage, value, categories, and owner when known.
- Save the lead, then record the next task or follow-up.
Assignment
Section titled “Assignment”Assignment changes should be intentional. Bulk assignment asks for confirmation and records the ownership change. The new owner receives an assignment summary according to the configured notification delivery.
Source and campaign context
Section titled “Source and campaign context”Native forms and supported intake methods can preserve click IDs, UTM values, ad metadata, landing page, and referrer context. What is available depends on the source payload, tracking settings, and visitor consent.
Do not use custom fields as replacements for built-in Source, Stage, Owner, Value, or advertising fields.
Delete safely
Section titled “Delete safely”Deleting a lead moves it to Trash first. Trash is excluded from the normal pipeline and analytics. See Lead Trash and recovery.
