Follow-ups

A follow-up is a time-based reminder attached to a lead.

  1. Open the lead or the Follow-ups page.
  2. Choose New Follow-up.
  3. Select the due date and time in the workspace timezone.
  4. Confirm the responsible user and add useful context.
  5. Save the follow-up.

Scheduling a follow-up against an unassigned lead may assign the lead so the reminder has a real owner.

Admin, Manager, and Sales roles can review organization follow-ups. Staff sees follow-ups assigned directly to them and follow-ups for leads assigned to them.

Follow-ups are grouped into practical time buckets such as due today, overdue, upcoming, and completed. These buckets follow the organization timezone.

Scheduled reminder delivery is handled by the notification service, not by CRM automation triggers.

After contacting or reviewing the lead:

  1. Mark the current follow-up complete.
  2. Add an outcome note when useful.
  3. Update stage, value, or assignment if the situation changed.
  4. Schedule the next follow-up before leaving the record.

An event-driven automation can schedule a follow-up after an event such as lead creation, form submission, assignment, or stage change. Time-since-last-activity triggers are not part of the CRM automation builder.
