Connect Google Ads
Convertly uses platform-managed Google OAuth and Data Manager configuration. A tenant connects its Google login and supplies only account-specific setup values.
What you need
Section titled “What you need”- Admin or Manager access to Convertly Ads settings
- Permission to the correct Google Ads account
- Google Ads Customer ID
- Numeric conversion-action ID for each CRM milestone you want to send
Do not paste a Google developer token, OAuth client ID, OAuth client secret, or manually generated refresh token into tenant settings.
Connect
Section titled “Connect”- Open Settings -> Ads -> Google Ads.
- Select Connect Google and complete Google authorization.
- Confirm the connected Google account shown in Convertly.
- Enter the Google Ads Customer ID without spaces or dashes when requested.
- Map the relevant CRM events to numeric conversion-action IDs.
- Keep Test mode enabled.
- Save and run a controlled test.
Find a conversion-action ID
Section titled “Find a conversion-action ID”Open the conversion action in Google Ads and copy its numeric ID. Convertly can also extract the ID from a full Google conversion URL when it contains a ctId value.
Do not use a conversion label in place of the numeric action ID.
Initial rollout
Section titled “Initial rollout”For the first rollout:
- Use click-ID-based delivery with a lead containing a usable Google click identifier.
- Keep Enhanced matching off unless Enhanced Conversions for Leads and customer-data terms are ready.
- Keep Send all CRM conversions off unless enhanced matching and the consent flow are approved.
- Include lead value and workspace currency only when they are meaningful and correct.
Verify
Section titled “Verify”Review Settings -> Ads -> Logs for queue and provider results. Confirm the CRM event, conversion-action mapping, connected account, Customer ID, identifier, timestamp, value, and currency.
Turn off Test mode only after accepted test uploads are understood.
