Connect Google Ads

Convertly uses platform-managed Google OAuth and Data Manager configuration. A tenant connects its Google login and supplies only account-specific setup values.

  • Admin or Manager access to Convertly Ads settings
  • Permission to the correct Google Ads account
  • Google Ads Customer ID
  • Numeric conversion-action ID for each CRM milestone you want to send

Do not paste a Google developer token, OAuth client ID, OAuth client secret, or manually generated refresh token into tenant settings.

  1. Open Settings -> Ads -> Google Ads.
  2. Select Connect Google and complete Google authorization.
  3. Confirm the connected Google account shown in Convertly.
  4. Enter the Google Ads Customer ID without spaces or dashes when requested.
  5. Map the relevant CRM events to numeric conversion-action IDs.
  6. Keep Test mode enabled.
  7. Save and run a controlled test.

Open the conversion action in Google Ads and copy its numeric ID. Convertly can also extract the ID from a full Google conversion URL when it contains a ctId value.

Do not use a conversion label in place of the numeric action ID.

For the first rollout:

  • Use click-ID-based delivery with a lead containing a usable Google click identifier.
  • Keep Enhanced matching off unless Enhanced Conversions for Leads and customer-data terms are ready.
  • Keep Send all CRM conversions off unless enhanced matching and the consent flow are approved.
  • Include lead value and workspace currency only when they are meaningful and correct.

Review Settings -> Ads -> Logs for queue and provider results. Confirm the CRM event, conversion-action mapping, connected account, Customer ID, identifier, timestamp, value, and currency.

Turn off Test mode only after accepted test uploads are understood.
