Create and Publish a Form

  1. Open Forms and choose New Form.
  2. Give the form a clear internal name.
  3. Add visitor fields and configure labels, options, required state, and mapping.
  4. Configure styling, submit text, success behavior, and consent wording.
  5. Review tracking settings.
  6. Configure Lead Defaults and New Lead Alert recipients.
  7. Save the form.

Ask only for information the team will use. Long forms reduce completion and create unnecessary sensitive data.

Use direct Name, Email, and Phone fields for contact identity. Other fields can be stored as configured lead data or added to the lead’s message and notes context, depending on mapping.

Supported defaults may include:

  • Approved lead source
  • Initial stage
  • Lead categories
  • Assigned owner
  • Deal value
  • Configured custom fields

Mapped submission values take priority; defaults fill missing supported values.

Select the users who should receive form-specific new-lead alerts. An empty recipient list means the form does not send a source-level new-lead alert. Assignment notifications remain independent.

Use Test Form in the builder. This performs a real submission, creates or updates a test lead according to duplicate handling, and runs the same alert path as an external embed.

Before testing, confirm required fields and required consent are satisfied.

Make the form active only after the test lead is correct. Copy the generated embed from the builder and test again on the real page where it will be used.

Editing changes the form configuration loaded by its embed. Duplicate a form when a new campaign needs a similar structure but separate defaults or alerts.

Deleting a form does not delete leads already saved from it. Confirm deletion because existing embeds will stop working.
