Forms Overview

What are Convertly forms?

Convertly CRM includes a native form builder that lets you create embeddable lead capture forms directly inside the CRM.

When a visitor fills out a Convertly-embedded form:

  1. A new lead is instantly created in your pipeline
  2. All attribution data (gclid, fbclid, UTMs, landing page, referrer) is captured automatically
  3. Your selected team members are notified based on form notification settings

Form types supported

Convertly currently supports single-step lead capture forms. This covers the most common use case for paid ad landing pages: capturing contact details and routing leads to your sales team.

Multi-step forms and conditional logic are planned for a future release.

How forms capture attribution data

Attribution capture is the core reason to use Convertly forms instead of a third-party tool.

When a visitor lands on your page after clicking a Google or Meta ad, their URL contains a click ID:

  • ?gclid=AbcDef123... (Google)
  • ?fbclid=AbcDef123... (Meta)

The Convertly embed captures click IDs and UTM context at form load. When the visitor submits, that context is attached to the lead.

This gives sales and marketing teams immediate source context without manual enrichment.

Security and quality safeguards

Public form submissions include built-in safeguards:

  • Duplicate submission checks for matching email/phone
  • Lightweight anti-spam protections
  • Domain-aware embed controls when configured
  • Form-level routing defaults for source, stage, categories, assignee, and deal value

These controls are handled by the platform automatically, so teams can publish forms quickly without custom backend work.

Managing forms

All forms are accessible from Dashboard → Forms.

From this view you can:

  • See all published and draft forms
  • View response counts per form
  • Access the embed code for each form
  • Edit, duplicate, or delete forms
